I took a trip to Duck, NC last month. The trip was great! I thought i’d update here with some video and pictures! The group consisted of friends who all play Left 4 Dead together. We were all looking forward to an epic week!

On the first day we got there i was so exicted! So i made this video I was pretty out of breath at the end of it from running around the house, lol.

Day two was pretty much chilling at the beach, I made another video to rub it in everyone back home’s face Chair made of sand, ocean waves, plenty of sun screen. All that was missing was the corona.

The rest of the week was filled with beach, video and board games, and drinking all sorts of tasty beverages. We also did some touristy stuff, like checking out some of the local shops where we ended up doing some judo on a lawn of a restaurant, haha!

We also went to see the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, that was really cool! The stair case seemed to go on forever! Higher and higher! But once you got to the top! What a view!

At the end of the week we went out Parasailing. I’d never gone before, and boy!, was it a fun experience! It was amazing how far you could see and how calm everything was up there.

The week went by way too fast for me! I wish i could go on vacation all the time! I can’t wait to for Otakon to meet up with many of you guys again!

Christmas Eve at the Parents

Nothing says Christmas Eve like sitting in the living room opening one present under the tree, watching TV, drinking beer, and blogging. We went to Kansai to chow-down on some delicious sushi. omnomnomnom tbh. The dogs are all wound up because of all the snacks and wrapped presents (they think it’s all for them to try and eat and play with).

btw, i love the Science Channel. It’s awesome. It’s totally not annoying like what’s on all the other channels with their “Christmas Cheer shows”.

I think i’m gonna go play some Left 4 Dead with Nick.

Left 4 Dead

I’d seen ads for Left 4 Dead a while ago and figured it was just another Zombie game. Then a friend at work recommended the demo. I went and got it the last day the demo was available. After an hour or so of downloading, Sean and I were deep inside a subway station fighting for our lives! Just from the two or three levels you were able to play on the demo i was hooked! So I went and bought the game yesterday, after i got off work. I spent the rest of the evening fighting my way through hordes of zombies with 3 other people online. I have to say, it’s the most fun i’ve had in a co-op game before. The AI director really adds to the whole feeling of intensity by changing where the zombies come from and where things drop. So far i’ve only played through the first 4 levels ending with the final battle on the rooftop of a hospital where we kept dying. That’s when I called it a night, since it was creeping in on midnight.

The game really excels at scaring the crap out of you. You can hear the zombies as they gather in a room close by, but you don’t know which one. You look for them and you can’t seem to find them. Then all of a sudden they burst through a door or wall or the ceiling and swarm you! I’d highly recommend the game to anyone! [LGNBM]Krandor is my steam tag. Add me up!
